Guidelines for posting comments
This site has been created for those who have read In Search of a City by Thomas A. Jones and would like to make comments about the book, add their own memories of the years it describes, or describe their vision for the future. Comments from those outside the ICOC fellowship are welcomed. It is good for those in that fellowship to know how our efforts affected others in both helpful and hurtful ways. It is good to know what we can do to build relationships in a new time.
One important word of caution. Thoughts submitted will not be approved for posting if they involve any personal attacks on another person or, in the view of the moderator, are not characterized by a desire to build unity and encourage a healthy movement into the future. Certainly comments that are rude or harsh will not be accepted here. All contributors must sign their posts with both first and last name along with city and state or city and country. Moderator will approve all posts before they are published.
In Search of a City was written with gratitude for the way God has worked through forty years in a certain movement and with an awareness of how we must both maintain biblical conviction and humbly face and correct our mistakes. We welcome all those who will write with this spirit. That does not mean we do not invite constructive criticism offered in a spirit of concern.
Our prayer is that this site will be a place where we can learn, and to be encouraged to embrace the mission that we have been called to by the love and grace of God.
